Position Description / Overview

Customer Service Representative (CSR) = Qualifications for advisers includes and is not limited to interaction and maintaining goodwill with colleagues, insurance companies customers and vendors. CSR’s should have outstanding communication skills (in person, via email or by voice), problem solving, and computer skills. This involves answering questions solving problems, providing advice or assistance with questions about policies, quotes, claims resolution, coverage explanation, billing, prompt follow-up or other concerns.

Minimum Requirements / Skills

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
ü Process new and renewal business, estimating premiums, completing applications and binders, providing underwriting information to the carrier as needed.
ü Review renewal policies for accuracy in premium, rating, coverages and accuracy in all areas.
ü Receive phone calls and office visitors requesting quotes, changes to existing coverage and/or new policies.
ü Work with new and existing customers to insure limits and coverage adequacy.
ü Answer questions regarding exposures, coverages, premiums, and procedures.
ü Process incoming requests from clients, carriers, and third-parties including policy changes, binders and claims reporting to the carriers while maintaining a concern for timeliness and completeness.
ü Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, colleagues, carriers and other business contacts.
ü Comply with agency procedures, documentation and automation requirements.
ü Answer phones and cooperate with all other departments as needed.
ü Exercise proficiency with personal computer, calculator, and a variety of office equipment.
ü Effectively utilize agency management system (Forms Boss) and carrier software as required.
ü Other essential duties as they are assigned.
