Position Description / Overview *

Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Assistant Account Executive with 2+ years of Commercial Lines brokerage experience. Candidates should be strategic thinkers who value honesty and possess a sense of urgency matched by integrity and an absolute commitment to client care. The Assistant Account Executive will be responsible for assisting in servicing a book of Commercial Lines accounts.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
The duties of the Assistant Account Executive include, but are not limited to:
• Maintain productive business relations and engage in extensive contact with clients, producers and underwriters
• Ensure client has continuous and proper coverage and advise client of any change recommendations
• Responsible for Assisting a Senior Account Executive’s workflow if applicable, such as computer inputting and general policy servicing. May perform at higher levels, such preparing specifications, meeting clients and interacting with insurance carriers
• Review current policies and provide recommendations regarding placement options. Utilize coverage checklist and a network of industry contacts to determine appropriate coverage and premiums
• Rounding out and cross selling book of business to reach agency/department growth goals
• Responsible for the integrity of policies and related documents
• Apply knowledge of coverage and forms to research and reconcile discrepancies
• Participate in the development of new business and retention of renewal business. Interact with producers to prepare specifications, applications, underwriting data and related information in the marketing of insurance products
• Produce business proposals
• Participate in business meetings, client conferences and educational seminars
• Assist in coordinating reports for management
• Manage all aspects of account administrations
• All other duties as assigned by management as needed

Minimum Requirements / Skills *

• Minimum of 2+ years of Commercial brokerage experience servicing accounts
• Valid P&C brokers’ license
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional organization and time-management skills
• Knowledge of Sagitta agency management system
• Self-starter, professional and assertive
• Be able to handle a fast-paced, challenging work environment
